Objectives of the children’s training
Since the chinese martial art Redboat Wing Chun lives of experiences in which the child has the opportunity to examine their own experiences, strengths and weaknesses, it is particularly suitable for being taught to young people.
It is not possible to do exercises "half-heartedly", because the desired success will fail to appear. Children are often, by bad example, not used to “make a move just for the sake of the movement itself” without receiving a “reward” for it. It’s an ascertainable trend that children lose the fun of “immediate actions”, if they are taught only to “function” for “rewards”. By contrast, Redboat Wing Chun enables them to experience the joy of movement again. The pleasurable experience of the training and the expansion of physical skills is reward enough. This is especially true for the sharpened motor skill, eagerness to experiment, improvement of the overall performance levels, orientation and coordination, development of self-confidence, self-esteem and communication skills and the experience of its own self-efficacy.
